Peeves and why they bug us

I'm exploring new technology (Apple Itouch) and it has opened a whole new realm of technological aggravation (don't get me started).

This made me wonder ... why does it peeve me that the Itouch doesn't work the way I think it should. There are some things that are just "well, duh" to me but obviously it wasn't way for the device's designers.

What peeves you on a regular basis? Are you kitchen counters too low? Steps too steep? Car controls in the wrong spot? Is there some little daily thing that could be vastly improved by a small fix?
