What I crave ...

color.

Plain and simple.

Color. It's been 6 months of winter here, and I want to see green (not evergreen, or pine green or cedar green, but grass green). I want to see red, purple, and yellow.

I am tired of brown, gray, and white.

Fall is a time of riotous colors, those bright splashes that tell us we're heading into the Time of No Color. But spring is the softer colors, those pale colors that act like they're afraid to surprise us after so long without color. I miss those colors.

It's supposed to snow again on Thursday. I keep telling myself it's good for the daffodils which will be coming up in a few weeks. All that snow contains water, which is good for the crops.

Keep talking ...
