My peeve ... it's at the wrong time ...

I think we should celebrate Christmas in January or February. We NEED a holiday in mid-winter.

I suppose it's because I live in the Midwest, where we have real winter (snow, that is). But it doesn't look or feel like Christmas until about January or early February. That's when we've got really cold weather and lots of snow on the ground. Then it feels like Christmas.

It all feels so compressed because when Thanksgiving is over, people start rushing around and worrying about getting 'ready' in a few weeks. Let's have some more time to enjoy the season.

That's my peeve and I'm sticking to it ....
