Summer's End

I'm not a summer person. I hate the hot weather, not being able to type without a fan going, and the light nights. I love it when the dark nights come, when the chill appears in the air, when I can draw the curtains and switch on my new reading light.
Autumn for me is when the house empties. While I love my family, having them underfoot all the time can get a little - wearing.
Oh yes, and in the UK, it means tax time. When we have to get our returns in. This is my first year doing my accounts, and it's pretty scary stuff, so I got myself a financial advisor to help. Lord knows I'll need it.

Taxes! Now! Ugh...I feel for you. I took a course many years ago to do taxes during tax season, and while I'm smart, I decided then and there that I would pay to have an accountant to do ours.

Smart advice. She saved me a lot of money, and gives me peace of mind.
