Inevitably, in all my mystery stories, I'll be writing along and at some point I realize I started the book in the wrong place. So I go back, change it up, and start anew.
What tells you if you're going along correctly in your story? Do you feel like the pacing is off/right? Can you tell something's 'not right'?
How do you know if you're on the right track?
