I think my amazement came with my new mandevilla plant. It's a tropical looking wonder. Vining up a support column, this delight has broad rough deep green leaves and bright pink fragile flowers. I nestled it next to a column next to the garage, so every time we go in the garage, it's there, shouting out at the world that it's alive and beautiful.
It's a hardy plant, likes full sun, and barely wilted in the drought we recently have been enduring. So, that was a plus. All the other plants felt the heat, but it flourished, giving me hope that yes, rain will come, but I'm here to bring joy to your life. And it does.
