My holiday pet peeve...one of many in my life...

It's easy. Decorating or gift items that are done too early!

While picking up my grandson, aged five, on the Monday before Thanksgiving dinner, I asked him to sing a Christmas song. His comment, "It's not Christmas, it's Thanksgiving." Smart kid. So I asked for a Thanksgiving song. He belted out two that he had learned.

Then we passed two homes with their Christmas lights on...He wasn't convinced that it was time for Christmas.

So, what about Christmas gift items that are in the stores before Halloween?

That's like finding Valentine Candy stocking the shelves before Christmas is over with...what's with that?

Are merchants convinced that we'll forget that a holiday is coming?

Really...
