I just got back from my second conference this year (this one in Chicago).
It had me thinking back to my first RWA conference where I was agog at the people I met and saw there. This conference had me sitting next to Jeffrey Deaver and Steve Berry at a table (both heavy hitters in the mystery market). A good time was had by all.
My perceptions of conferences and their uses for me has changed since I got into the writing game in 2004. What constitutes a good conference for you? What things do you look for in a conference to make it a make/break decision on whether or not to attend? As we gear up for Conferences 2009, let us know
