I used to drive through a small town in Iowa (more times than I can count) before a newer, 4-lane highway opened up.
Most of that town is gone now -- a tornado came through and hammered it. Alas, tornadoes are a fact of life where I grew up so this isn't unusual.
What's your earliest recollection of such a natural disaster? Do you have a memory from childhood that you still remember to this day?
