Buzzword hype and thoughts

The latest buzz is about frugality, given our poor economy and the state of the world, etc.

I've always been a bit of a cheapskate, although I do splurge on items that others might think odd (my penchant for technology, for example, which I have curbed).

What's one of your favorite frugal tips? Coupon clipping? Turning those old sheets into drop cloths? Re-tasking an old wheelbarrow into a planter?
