This is sort of related to last week's "Who Am I?" topic.
How much of you appears in your books? I realize we all take liberties with age, hair, body shape, etc.
But how much of your personality and your views are reflected in your characters? Are they the people you want to be? Or are they really who you are?

This is a fun one to answer. Anyone who knows me can hear me in my latest wip making the rounds, Beauty and The Best. I talk somewhat like Jolie, I definitely digress like her and forgetting my train of thought? I'll claim age on that one.
As to appearance, no. I don't put myself in the characters, they are not what I would like to be. At this point in my life, other than a few things I'd like to tweak but won't, I've learned to be happy with me.
I'm writing for the audience and the characters. They come to me fully formed, with all their "baggage" and their appearance.
As to my views, obviously I'm a romantic, being that I write romances. So yes, that's in there. There has to be some of me in the character since it's channeled through me, but they are who they are. They are their own people with their own doubts/strengths/weaknesses, etc. I enjoy getting to know them as I tell their story. It's one of the best parts about this process, meeting all the people in my head LOL.
